So many to
choose from…

Thank you to everyone who signed up to be a volunteer to trial my new eye cream. I was overwhelmed by the response, over 150 applications were received.  It’s also encouraging to know that there is a definite need for a really good all-in-one eye cream that takes care not only crows feet but dark circles, puffy and saggy eyes.

As you can imagine it’s been a gruelling few days going through all the applications to choose just five lucky volunteers. Unfortunately, I’ve not managed to do that so I called my manufacturer and asked that they send me just a little bit more formula. I’ve now been able to extend the 5 out to 10.  Here are the lucky 10.

Your participation in the development process is vital. Your feedback enables me to “tweak” the formula to ensure that it achieves the user’s expectations and does what I say it will do. There is nothing worse than
purchasing a product only to find out it does nothing at all. So I can’t wait to hear what you think of my product in development.

I’ll be emailing each of you shortly giving you all the necessary infornmation you will need to be an SKN Complex new product tester.

more in the future so keep an eye on our weekly newsletter for information about up and coming new product testing.
Beautiful Women

In the spot light!

The talking point this week has been about Angelina Jolie taking the brave decision to have a double mastectomy, after finding out she carried a faulty gene that gave her an 87% risk of developing breast cancer. Her decision reduces that risk down to about 5%.

It has squarely put  genetic testing into the spotlight, but is it  something we should all have done? Genetic
testing tells you if you  have a higher risk than
general population, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that you will develop breast cancer in your lifetime.   Even if the genetic test tells you that you do not have the faulty gene, it does not mean that you will never develop breast cancer.
Taking this into account,
would you have genetic testing done? Would you like to know so that you can take preventative action like Angelina or would you prefer to not know what lurking underneath and live your life every day to the fullest?

It is a timely reminder
however to make sure that we regularly perform breast checks and if over 50 to have MRI scans to increase the changes of detecting breast cancer early.
