blogger recognition award

BLOGGER RECOGNITION AWARD GOES TO…..

WOW! It’s such an honour to receive a BLOGGER RECOGNITION AWARD from fellow blogger Jessica Ijezie of Nature and Health. This is my first ever blogger award so needless to say I’m pretty chuffed about it. I am so proud of how far my blog has come over the past few year considering that I don’t consider myself as much of a writer.  I’m thankful for the support of the wider Blogger Community for all their advice and in helping me grow my readership. Thank you all so much.

Before I pay the honour forward by selecting my own nominees, it’s important to mention as a part of receiving this award there are some rules that need to followed:

The rules are:

Thank the blogger who nominated you and provide a link to their blog.
Write a post to show the award.
Write a brief story of how your blog started.
Give two pieces of advice to new bloggers.
Select 15 other bloggers that you want to pass this award onto.
Comment on each of the 15 blogs to let them know that they have been nominated and provide them the link to this post.

HOW MY BLOG STARTED:

Truth be told, my blog was really an after thought. I worked in the health and beauty industry for a long time and decided to go out on my own by creating a range of anti-aging skin care products with the help of my partner, Dan.  While I researched and developed the products he worked the branding and marketing. He also created the website and decided to include a blog page for SEO purposes.  He delegated the task of filling the blog with content to me. For the longest time it remained blank because I was afraid of putting myself out there in case no one was interested in what I wrote.  But what’s that saying, it’s better to try and fail then than to never know and always wonder.  So one day I sat down and wrote my first article….it felt like a chore and took me forever to write but at least I did it.  Dan had to post it for me because I just didn’t think it was good enough. Luckily, people did read it and did comment and I haven’t looked back since.

MY ADVICE:

1. If you lack confidence in your writing ability then start off just writing for yourself. Ignore the fact that others will be reading it. This will help you to focus your thoughts, idea and opinions and from there the words will fall into place.
2. Headlines and images are the two things that stand out in any blog so spend time thinking about these two aspects.

So now the time has come to chose 15 bloggers to recognise. A difficult choice with so many wonderful bloggers around the world to choose from in many different categories, well here goes.

So the blogger recognition award goes to the following: (in no particular order)

  1. Half Chocolate
  2. Miss Michelle Lee
  3. The wonderous world of YOU
  4. Bebe Shamo
  5. The Shenanigans of a Warrior Goddess
  6. Read Views
  7. Fifty Shades of Inspirations
  8. The Greedy Vegan
  9. Teaching Sunny Side Up
  10.  Red Riding Hood
  11. From A Cubicle
  12. Health and Beauty Quest
  13. Travel Weeki
  14. The Lioness
  15. Unveil The Chic

Thank you ever so much. You made my week and I totally agree with your first advice. “1. If you lack confidence in your writing ability then start off just writing for yourself. Ignore the fact that others will be reading it. This will help you to focus your thoughts, idea and opinions and from there the words will fall into place.” I struggle with this a lot because English is not my first language. Again, thank you so much. – Lots of love from England, G. TheGreedyVegan

Your very welcome. English is my first language and I still have trouble LOL! I use Grammarly to help with the grammar and spelling. I couldn’t do with out it.
